"We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.
If a man's gift is prophesying,
let him use it in proportion to his faith.
If it is serving, let him serve;
if it is teaching, let him teach;
if it is encouraging, let him encourage;
if it is contributing to the needs of others,
let him give generously;
if it is leadership, let him govern diligently;
if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully."
Romans 12:6-8

Master of Divinity Degree Completed By Canadian Bishop John+ McMahon

    Bishop McMahon has submitted a very large and well-argued thesis which will be read by the dean of the Alpha and Omega Colleges Bishop +Michael B. Simmons. If all goes well, Bishop McMahon should receive his very nice diploma in Latin (all diplomas from the schools are in Latin) sometime early next year. His clergy are required to study at our schools for their theological degrees. He is to be commended for this exemplary precedent.

     Bishop McMahon will be graduating as the very first M.Div. student from St. Paul's College of the Alpha and Omega Theological Colleges. Our schools are now international with two students from Latin America, one from Canada, and several from the USA. The scriptures tell us not to despise small beginnings. In due time, if we faint not, we shall see the first building of the schools constructed, and then a fully accredited, residential seminary offering degrees from the level of bible college to graduate doctoral degrees.

Bishop +Simmons Elected Chairman

    Bishop +Simmons was elected to the Chair of the Section on the History of Christianity of the Southeastern Meeting of the American Academy of Religion for the period 2007-2009.
    In May, at the annual meeting of the North America Patristics Society in Chicago, he will read a paper; and again next year he will read a paper at the big International Conference on Patristics at Oxford. He needs your prayers for travel, the papers, and the great journey of learning new things.
